As co-founder of Pyes & Cherin, LLP, Harvey Pyes has provided legal services to the Chicagoland area for more than 50 years. Mr. Pyes' career in law has evolved into today's varied practice. He continues to promote the best quality legal representation.
Throughout his career, Mr. Pyes has served on various committees of the Illinois State Bar Association, including holding the position of Chairman of the Young Lawyers Section and of the Commercial, Banking and Bankruptcy Section, together with the General Practice Section. Mr. Pyes attained the honor of Senior Counselor Status in 2004. He is also the author of "Confession of Judgment in Illinois," published in the Illinois State Bar Journal.
Mr. Pyes has contributed his knowledge and experience to the business and banking industries, including several corporate boards. He served as the Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Highwood and New Century Bank. Mr. Pyes also was a member of the Bank Commissioner's Committee for a Dual Banking System.
An active member of his community, Mr. Pyes received the Trustee Medal in 2009 from Rush University, Chicago, and the 2006 Trustee Medal from Rush North Shore Medical Center, Skokie, Illinois, where he served as a Trustee from 1991 to 2009 and as Chairman of the Board of Trustees from 1996 to 2001. His service to the community also includes Trustee at the Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center, Chicago.
